Virgin Mobile has just launched an advertising campaign that uses your webcam to detect when you blink and to change up the scenario of the commercial. Called Bllinkwashing, it is the final part of the company’s “Retrain your Brain” campaign. The spot ingeniously detects when you blink and switches the scene. The message stays the same however – so it seamlessly transitions during any part of the script. There are 25 clips to blink your way through, and you can’t help but watch it over and over! The only issue we had with this innovative new gimmick was it doesn’t work on all devices. You have to have a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam.
And unfortunately it does not work on mobile devices.
